Urban Life Training community, college and high school Chapters help youth succeed by providing education, peer counseling and clubs that emphasize the benefits of abstaining from sex before marriage, as well as abstaining from drugs and alcohol.

STAR Leadership High School Clubs

bring teens together in a positive environment where they can build friendships, share values, and support one another in choosing abstinence. Mentoring peers using the Urban Life Training education and peer counseling materials is a key activity.

Brittany: "I am a teen, and I am 19 years old, and I didn’t have the opportunity to have someone, a college student to come to my classroom and teach me what’s right."
Jasmine: "I personally practice abstinence because I look at it as, if I’ve waited 19 years to hold myself and guard my diamond, to be true to myself, nobody is worth me just throwing it away that easily. Like, you have to pay for this, and I don’t mean materialistically, but you have to put in the work.  I’m not just some throw away piece of trash."

Our Goals and Values

Empowerment Through Education

To educate youth about the benefits of abstinence in preparation for marriage and to encourage them to adopt a sexually abstinent and drug free lifestyle.

High Moral Values & Peer Support

To encourage youth to exemplify high moral values and to become persons of integrity; especially by providing older students who are sexually abstinent role models

Mentoring Peers

To encourage and train students to be peer counselors who can reach out to students in need of their friendship, encouragement and advice, especially focusing on sexual abstinence before marriage.

Speaking Out for Abstinence

To give youth a forum in the community to speak out on the issue of sexual abstinence.
